Buffing Machine Operator

We are seeking a Buffing Machine Operator responsible for performing metal surface finishing operations using buffing and polishing machines. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in surface finishing, polishing, and metal fabrication, along with strong attention to detail to deliver high-quality finishes on metal components.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate buffing and polishing machines to achieve the required surface finish on metal parts.
Select appropriate buffing wheels, polishing compounds, and machine settings for various metals.
Inspect components before and after buffing for defects or imperfections.
Maintain consistent quality by controlling pressure, speed, and angle during operations.
Clean and prepare metal surfaces, removing rust, burrs, weld marks, or scratches.
Handle and move metal components safely to and from the buffing station.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Follow all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Report equipment issues or production delays to the supervisor.
Maintain records of production output and completed work.

Requirements:

Minimum 10th Pass / ITI / Vocational training in Mechanical or relevant trade.
Hands-on experience operating buffing or polishing machines.
Basic knowledge of metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.
Physically fit and comfortable performing repetitive manual tasks.
Awareness of workplace safety and use of protective equipment.
Ability to work in dusty or noisy environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of different polishing compounds and abrasives.
Experience in surface finishing within manufacturing or metal fabrication industries.
High attention to detail and quality assurance.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts or overtime when required.
