Education Qualification

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team in Gurgaon. The selected candidate will be responsible for dispensing prescription medicines, ensuring medication safety, counseling patients, maintaining pharmacy inventory, and collaborating with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, prescription verification, and hospital pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and hospital quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately according to doctors’ prescriptions.
  • Verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, contraindications, allergies, and medication safety.
  • Counsel patients regarding dosage, administration, storage, precautions, and possible side effects of medicines.
  • Maintain adequate stock of medicines, consumables, and pharmaceutical products.
  • Monitor medicine expiry dates and ensure proper storage conditions.
  • Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff regarding medication availability and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Council regulations, hospital policies, and legal requirements.
  • Handle controlled drugs and narcotic medications according to statutory guidelines.
  • Monitor adverse drug reactions (ADR) and medication errors.
  • Assist in procurement, inventory control, and stock management.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene within the pharmacy.
  • Participate in medication safety initiatives, audits, and quality improvement programs.
